The Methods of Faith
It’s amazing to think that many people in today’s modern society hold faith up as a virtue. I am not one of those people. There is no sense in replacing reason and evidence with faith -- . . . more

Dennis Gilman , Jan 30, 2009, 11:36AM ESTI hope you're not yet done with me yet Tristan. I haven't read your comments yet because there are so many others. Look for part 2 later today. This string is getting too long and I am inviting comments from you. According to what I am reading here, you're an atheist. If you notice, I'm not attempting to convert anybody, just trying to tell everybody, faithless and faithful no to close their minds too readily.

Leslie D., Jan 5, 2009, 11:52PM ESTLol yeah I'm still around. Haven't been online for awhile. But I just got through updating my profile and adding new pics. I'm going to try to get on here more! :)

Beth B., Oct 2, 2008, 3:25PM EDTHave you read "the portable atheist"? Christopher Hitchins collected a bunch of writings from great heretics(uestioners, but not exclusively atheists). There's a great one from Betrand Russell and I think some Spinoza. Working my way through, but definately worth a spot on the shelf.

Holly C., Sep 29, 2008, 3:59PM EDTHi! I don't know why we haven't connected before now, but here we are. I used to be a small town atheist too. I lived in Middleburg, FL, a town that is still controlled by Southern Baptists. I only go back there to see my sister and grandparents.

Marianne M., Sep 18, 2008, 4:53PM EDTThanks for setting me straight about the Franklin quote, “Beer Is Proof That God Loves Us And Wants Us to Be Happy.” I came across it the other day and thought it was funny. Guess I should credit good old anon instead ...
